The ruling Democratic Party and the four other major parties agreed to hold a parliamentary vote on Dec. 24 to pass a series of fast-tracked reform bills, including those for electoral and prosecutorial reform. The vote was delayed, however, when the Liberty Korea Party (LKP) immediately followed with a filibuster to delay the vote. Consequently, the vote will proceed once the next plenary session opens after the current extraordinary session ends.
