North Korean Foreign Ministry advisor Kim Kye-gwan recently praised US President Donald Trump, saying “President Trump is different from his predecessors in political sense and decision.” Kim added, “I would like to place my hope on President Trump’s wise option and bold decision,” expressing his hopes for the pending North Korea-US working-level negotiations on denuclearization. However, Kim accused the US of not following through on agreements made during the Singapore summit last year between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, adding that North Korea has made “sincere efforts” to make denuclearization a reality.
